David Don Miller
is the commissioned book writer on new musical Goodbye New York, finalist at the 2017 New York New Works Theatre Festival. Miller’s hard-hitting look at urban education Why You Beasting? was a sold out hit and TimeOut NY Critics’ Pick at the 2013 New York International Fringe Festival, where it transferred to the Players Theatre. Selections from Why You Beasting? as well as Someone’s Gonna Snap (produced at NYU's Studio Tisch 2018) were recently published in a Smith and Krauss anthology entitled 222 More Comedy Monologues. Other plays include The Numbening (Emerging Artists Theatre 2015 and HB Studios 2018) and Bacon Clickbait (Phoenix Theatre, Dixon Place, Manhattan Repertory Theatre, New York New Works Theatre Festival, all in 2018). Miller holds an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, teaches Shakespeare, drama, and English, is an artistic associate at the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway theatre company, NewYorkRep, and is the proud husband and father of an extraordinary woman and two bright and talented boys.
